The 4-day course will cover the role of a Senior Instructor, preparation and delivery of sessions, course and centre management, powerboat handling in a teaching environment and the 911制品Sailing Schemes. You will be assessed on a continual basis including running water-based simulated group management sessions.
Candidates must first be an 911制品Dinghy Instructor and must fulfil the following criteria prior to the course:
- Minimum age of 18
- Valid First Aid certificate
- 911制品Powerboat Level 2 certificate
- Dinghy Instructor certificate, with at least two years intermittent or one year's full time instructing experience since qualifying
- Safety boat certificate
- 911制品Safe and Fun safeguarding certificate
- Recommendation from the 911制品Chief Instructor, or principal, 911制品Regional Manager/Regional Trainer, or 911制品appointed Trainer.
- Completed Senior Instructor workbook
- Sailing ability to at least 911制品pre-entry standard
